History
Distribution Technology was formed in Charlotte, NC, in 1969 as a closely held private stock corporation offering. The company began operations with 100,000 square feet of space for contract and public warehousing and distribution. Over the past 30+ years, the family-owned business has grown to currently operate 1 million square feet of public and contract warehouse space and employs 200 people. Principal offices and operations are still located in Charlotte. Stock ownership is closely held by the officers and directors of the company, with control exercised by operating officers.
Distribution Technology is a true logistics concierge featuring a full range of contract and public warehousing and transportation services. In addition, the company is the operator of Charlotte Foreign Trade Zone #57.
